Windy yesterday!! Had fun with first time flats angler Matthew from Australia.. Found tarpon, redfish, cudas and sharks out of the wind on a 1/2 day charter..

I love this time of year... "Off Season" here in the Keys.. Very few tourists... Bars and restaurants are not crowded. Lodging prices drop this time of year. Very few skiffs on the water..

Most destination anglers are hunting birds, archery hunting, etc..

Here in the Keys we are stalking the flats for tarpon , permit and bonefish.

Fall is a great time of year to target juvenile tarpon. Water temperatures are good, which make these fish active. They will readily eat a surface fly or soft plastics..

Permit roam the same flats as the bonefish. These fish are elusive, fast and powerful
