It is a tough choice some times...The last week or so has been very warm with little or no wind. Glassy smooth conditions make it easy to spot rollers, tailers and wakers. Summer and fall is a great time to fish the Florida Keys.. It is "Off Season." No tourists, discounted rooms and rental cars.. Nobody on the flats.

Early morning starts are good this time of year. By mid afternoon the flats can get very warm, sometimes too warm. Dawn is a great time to look for rolling tarpon, tailing bonefish and permit.

How ever tarpon love the warmer water. Summer tarpon fishing can be excellent on the right days..
