Yikes!
While parts of the country are battling snow, ice, blizzards and other winter weather conditions.. It was been a very pleasant January here in the Florida Keys.. I have still been running the AC. Which makes for some good flats fishing..

Our first real cold front will be on Tuesday.
Temperatures will be around 60 degrees then back up in the 80s on Thursday.
YAY!!

Tom From Ct. fly fishing for baby tarpon. Got his first one with me last week..
Warmer water temperatures, give us the chance to fish for permit, tarpon and bonefish.
How ever there are lots of other fish to target this time of year.. Trout, ladyfish, redfish, jacks, cudas and sharks are all fun too!

Beach at Dolphin Marina on Little Torch Key..

My girl friend Jane... fishing for redfish...
Lots of redfish in the back country this winter. Redfish are more tolerant of cooler water temperatures

New Year's is off to a great start.. Fished a half day with Madison and Ryan from Tx. Madison started off with a casting lession and finished up catching sharks!
Fun Day!

Barracuda
Winter time is barracuda time.. Barracuda fishing is a blast! They are faster then a bonefish and can jump higher then a tarpon.

Cori with a tarpon.
Speaking of tarpon.. It is almost that time.. In another month or so the front runners of the tarpon migration will start to appear in the lay up basins on the warmer days. I CAN'T WAIT! Neither can my regular anglers. I have been getting inquires and bookings daily, now that the holidays are over.. Still have days available for this tarpon season..
