The Lower Florida Keys is the best place in the world to sight fish migratory tarpon.

The Lower Florida Keys are famous for the spring tarpon migration.  Beginning in early February and lasting into the begining of July, large tarpon (75 to 150lbs) travel through the keys by the thousands.  During the peak of the migration it is common to see and cast to hundreds of tarpon a day on the flats.

Tarpon can be found year round in the Lower Keys.  Baby tarpon and large resident tarpon are available year round when the conditions are right.  Warmer days with light wind can be the best.

Prime time:

April, May and June are prime time.  During the peak of the migration it is common to see and cast to hundreds of tarpon a day on the flats.

Spring, summer and fall is a very good time of year to fish for  baby tarpon.
